Favorite Summer Things!
Happy Saturday loves!!! Summer is almost here, can you believe it? Here, in NC, we have had some crazy winter and spring weather, but hopefully that is behind us!
Today I am here to talk briefly about what should be on your radar now that the weather is warming up!
1- Make time for family.
Summer break is just around the corner and I am super excited! The boys are itching to get out because we are going to the Bahamas! Omg! I am so excited. This is the first year we are going any where out of the country as a family, so let the memory making begin! During summer I know what it's like to still have to work and get child care for the kids. But just do your best to set some time apart to make this summer special for them. Even if it's just building a fort in the living room and watching movies. Make it count!
2- Brighten up your wardrobe-
It's time to bring out the bright and fun colors. I am one of those people who LOVE black... well I think most women do, but take this as a challenge to try a different color top or brighten up your accessories. I am a sucker for funky shoes, so that is my go to! Oh and hats... I love hats! It's time to step out of the box!
3- Self Maintenance
This is a not so lovely topic, buttttt lets be honest how many of us keep up with our pedicures and shave our legs daily during winter? I can assure you most Moms don't. I know I don't! So, make those pedicure appointments, gets some new razor blades and lets get back to the annoying tasks of warmer weather. On the bright side: no more winter coats. Bring on swimsuits, the beach, and of coarse... cocktails!
4- Have Fun!!!
I mean it! The weather is warming up, so get your butts outside and play with your kids, go for a hike, roast some marsh mellows. Take advantage of the warm weather because it is oh-so-wonderful!
A big thank you to all of you reading this! I love you all! Please leave some love in the comments and tell me your favorite summer must! Make sure you share with a friend and get them in the summer spirit!
Sending my love,
